This is a shot of the new bridge under construction across Bayou Texar at Cervantes street. It will be about 3 ft taller than the old bridge to be the same as the CSX Railroad trestle which is located just south of the Cervantes street bridge. A temporary bridge is being built on the North side of the old bridge to allow for continued two way traffic as the contractor removes a portion of the old bridge to start on the new one.
