Historical Photos of the Port of Pensacola

Port Photo

This view shows the Louisville & Nashville Railroad's coal tipple at work. The railroad owned the Muscogee Warf which was located at the east end of the Harbor at the foot of 15th Avenue. It was approx. 2,400 feet long and 120 feet across the head with 30 feet of water at M.L.W. The concrete structure that housed the tipple itself is still in use as a barge dock but the wooden structure has mostly rotted away.
