Invitation to the groundbreaking

In the upper left photo, Dr. Morris Marx, President of the University of West Florida, presides at the ground-breaking for the new building that will house the Archaeology Institute of West Florida. The University is internationally recognized in both terrestial and maritime archaeology research. Upper right is Dr. Judith Bense, the director of the Institute. Under Dr. Bense's leadership the Institute has become recognized worldwide for its discoveries in Pensacola, Florida - America's First Settlement by the Spanish in 1559. On the right is the invitation to the groundbreaking ceremony of the Margaret Jane Smith Archaeology Institute Building. Click on the image for a larger one you can read.
