L. M. (Skipper) Harvey

Born 1889. Died 1958.

L. M. Harvey was a merchant, civil engineer and contractor.

He was one of the contractors on the Florida Ship Canal started in the 1930's. Constructed Chevalier Field at the Naval Air Station.

He was one of Pensacola's early yacht enthusiasts and owner of the "Pagan Moon" and the "Esperanza" sailing vessels on which he spent much time and enjoyed this hobby to the fullest.

The influence of L. M. Harvey will be felt here and his footprints in the sands of time will remain.
