BAYOU CHICO - TUG BOAT WITH OLD PENSACOLA SHIPBUILDING COMPANY IN BACKGROUND

Bayou Chico 1946

This photo was taken from where Brown Marine Serivce now has its offices. The view is looking to the north with cranes and structures of the old Pensacola Shipyard in the background. The shipyard operated during the last years of World War I and lay dormant for years after that. It was used for other businesses during the 1930's and now is the site of a marine and industrial park which kept the name of Pensacola Shipyard. This photo is dated Aug 22, 1946.
